What the score measures

Four pillars, 100 points.

Every point maps to a check you can see. Checks that cannot be measured on your site leave the total instead of counting against you.

What this check reads

This check reads your robots.txt, your llms.txt, your sitemap, your homepage and up to three key pages linked from it. It visits as SuedeAgentStudio and follows your robots.txt, so any path you keep closed stays closed.

Each result quotes what it found, such as the robots.txt line that decides a crawler or the phone numbers on your pages, so you can confirm it on your own site. Add up to two rival sites to compare their robots.txt, llms.txt and homepage schema with yours.

FAQ

AI visibility, answered.

How do ChatGPT and Claude decide whether to read my site?

Each assistant sends named crawlers. OpenAI uses OAI-SearchBot for ChatGPT search and ChatGPT-User for pages a person asks about; Anthropic uses Claude-SearchBot and Claude-User. The search crawlers read your robots.txt and follow the group that names them, or the * group when none does; the user fetchers follow each operator's own policy for user-initiated requests. This check applies the same precedence rules and shows the exact line that decides each crawler.

What is llms.txt?

llms.txt is a short Markdown file at yoursite.com/llms.txt that summarizes your business in one line and links your key pages, following the format proposed at llmstxt.org. Treat it as low-cost hygiene: it is worth 2 of the 100 points, while crawler access, server-rendered text and a fresh sitemap carry far more weight. The fix kit drafts one from your own pages, ready to publish.

Should I block AI training bots?

Training access is your call, and it does not change your score. Training crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and CCBot collect content for model training, while answer bots such as OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot and PerplexityBot fetch pages to answer live questions. The robots.txt patch opens the answer bots and adds the training bots only when you tick the box.

Why does business schema matter for AI answers?

Business schema is JSON-LD that states your name, phone, address, hours and official profiles in a format machines read directly. It gives assistants consistent facts when someone asks who you are or how to reach you. The fix kit writes it from details already on your pages and lists the fields to add.

How often should I re-check?

Re-check after a redesign, a CDN or security rule change, or a plugin update, since those often rewrite robots.txt. For a standing watch, the AI Visibility Watch template reads your robots.txt every Monday and flags any answer bot that becomes blocked.
