How does Healthcare mode review a page?#
It runs six steps, and your reviewer reads the exceptions, not every citation.
From draft to signed page
Step 1: Add the practice as a client
Tick Healthcare practice on the new client form. Agent Studio opens the Healthcare lane next.Add a practiceStep 2: Providers by NPI
Add each provider with their 10-digit NPI and what the page says about them. The check digit is validated before the lookup, then the public NPI Registry record is lined up with the page.Step 3: Evidence by PMID
Add each source by PMID or PubMed link with the passage the page relies on. PubMed returns the title, journal, year, study design and every linked notice.Step 4: Claim-to-source map
Drafts cite approved sources as [S1], [S2]. Every sentence with a citation or a figure maps to its source, and each figure is checked against the source excerpt.Step 5: Clear the exception queue
Passing items collapse into a count. A retraction, an NPI mismatch or a figure with no source becomes one card: fix it, re-check it, or keep it with a written reason.Step 6: Sign off and export
Record the named reviewer, approve, and export Markdown with Sources and Evidence sections ready for the CMS.
What exactly is checked, and against what?#
Each line of the evidence pack says what was checked, against which public record, and what the result means.
| Item | Checked against | Label |
|---|---|---|
| Provider name, credential, specialty, active status | The public NPI Registry record | Identity matched to NPI Registry record |
| Board certification, licensure, fellowship, privileges | The issuing body, by your reviewer | Not checkable from NPI · reviewer confirms |
| Each cited study, by PMID | PubMed's public record on the check date | In PubMed · no retraction, correction or concern linked |
| Retractions, concerns, corrections, updates | The notices PubMed links to the article | Retracted, Expression of concern, Correction published, Updated version published |
| A PMID that is itself a notice | PubMed's publication type | This PMID is a notice, not a study |
| Figures in the copy | The excerpt of the cited source | Found in the source excerpt, or a card in the queue |
| Sources without a PMID | Your reviewer | Outside automated checks · reviewer confirms |
What is the evidence fingerprint?#
The evidence fingerprint is a sha256 hash of the provider records, the source checks and the accepted exceptions, stored with the approval. Export and sharing re-read the evidence first.
- A re-check that finds nothing new keeps the approval.
- A new retraction, a changed NPI record or a withdrawn acceptance sends the page back to your reviewer with one action to clear it.
- A check older than seven days is re-run before the page exports.
Should I use Guided or Expert view?#
Use Guided for the account lead and the reviewer: one step at a time, each saying what is left. Use Expert when you run several practices: providers, source checks, claim map and the exception queue on one screen. Both read and write the same review, so switch any time.
