Call through a list fast with the power dialer

Quick answer

The Agent Studio power dialer works a call list for you. In CRM → Phone, pick a smart list or pipeline stage, choose a caller id and press Start calling. Each Call rings your phone first, then connects the contact. Tap an outcome, add a note, and the next contact is up. Contacts without a phone or marked do-not-call are skipped.

What you'll have

  • A call list built from any smart list or pipeline stage
  • One-click calls with outcomes and notes saved on each contact
  • Do-not-call requests honored automatically on every future list

What does the power dialer do?#

The power dialer turns a list of contacts into a calling session you work top to bottom. It shows one contact at a time with a link to their record, places the call when you press Call, and moves on as soon as you log how it went. Sessions keep their place, so you stop at lunch and press Continue after.

  • 500contacts a single call list holds
  • 7one-tap call outcomes

How do I start a calling session?#

Start your first call list

0 of 4 done

  1. Step 1: Set the phone the dialer rings

In CRM → Settings → Phone, fill Dialer rings this phone first with your mobile or desk number in +15551234567 format, then press Save provider settings.
    Open Phone settings
  2. Step 2: Build the list

Save a smart list in Contacts (for example, leads tagged quote-sent with no reply), or use a pipeline stage such as Qualified.
    Open Contacts
  3. Step 3: Start calling

Open CRM → Phone, pick the list under Call, choose the Caller id number, and press Start calling.
    Open the dialer
  4. Step 4: Call and log

Press Call. Your phone rings; pick up and Agent Studio connects the contact. Type a Note and tap the outcome to load the next contact.

What happens when I log a call outcome?#

Each outcome is saved on the session, and any note you type is added to the contact's record as Dialer: followed by your words, so the whole team sees it.

Outcomes in the How did it go? row
OutcomeWhat Agent Studio does
ConnectedLogs the conversation and moves to the next contact
No answerLogs the attempt so you see who to try again
Left a voicemailLogs the voicemail against the contact
BusyLogs the attempt and moves on
Wrong numberLogs it on the session results so you fix the record
Asked not to be calledTurns on call do-not-disturb for the contact, so no future list includes them
SkippedMoves past the contact without a call

Can a workflow build call lists for me?#

Yes. The Power Dialer List step builds a session from a smart list, a pipeline stage or the contact a workflow is about, and assigns it to a teammate by email. Run it every morning on a schedule and your reps open CRM → Phone to a fresh list.

Questions buyers ask#

Does the power dialer call from my business number?

Yes. Pick any number on the account as the Caller id, so contacts see your business number, not your personal mobile, even though your mobile is the phone that rings.

Can several reps work different lists at once?

Yes. Each session is its own list with its own place. Assign sessions to teammates with the Power Dialer List workflow step, and each rep continues their own.

Will the dialer call people who opted out?

No. Contacts with all do-not-disturb or call do-not-disturb on are left out when a list is built, and Asked not to be called sets that flag the moment you tap it.

How is this different from GoHighLevel's dialer?

Both work a list one call at a time. In Agent Studio the list comes straight from a smart list or pipeline stage, and a workflow builds and assigns sessions for you, so reps start the day with calls queued.
