Quick answer

Agent Studio takes card payments for your business straight into your own Stripe account. From the Payments tab in your CRM you send invoices and estimates, text a pay link, sell products, run monthly or yearly subscriptions and hand out coupon codes. Every payment marks the invoice paid, updates the contact and fires an automation trigger.

What can I charge for in Agent Studio?#

You can bill for anything you do or sell: one-off jobs, retainers, packages, products and memberships. Agent Studio gives you six ways to ask for money, and each one ends on a secure Stripe checkout page your customer opens from their phone or laptop.

Where does the money go when a customer pays?#

The money goes straight to your own Stripe account. Agent Studio talks to Stripe with your key, so payouts reach your bank on the schedule you set in Stripe and Suede AI takes no percentage of your customers' payments. Stripe charges its own processing fee on its side, the same as any Stripe checkout.

How do I start taking payments?#

Connect Stripe once, then send your first invoice. The whole setup takes one sitting.

What happens automatically after I send?#

Agent Studio tracks every invoice from sent to paid without a spreadsheet. It records when the customer opens the pay page, marks unpaid invoices overdue the day after the due date, issues the next copy of a repeating invoice on schedule and expires estimates past their last valid day.

  • Invoice statuses: Draft, Sent, Viewed, Partly paid, Paid, Overdue and Void.
  • Estimate statuses: Draft, Sent, Viewed, Accepted, Declined and Expired.
  • Totals at a glance: the Invoices tab shows what is outstanding and what is overdue across every open invoice.
  • Cash and checks: Record a payment logs bank transfers, checks, cash and other payments against the invoice.

How do automations use payment events?#

Every payment event is a trigger in Automations. Thank a customer the second they pay, nudge them when an invoice goes overdue, alert your team when a card fails or start onboarding when an estimate is accepted.

Questions buyers ask#

Does Suede AI take a cut of my payments?

No. Customers pay into your own Stripe account with your own key, and Suede AI adds no percentage on top. Stripe charges its normal processing fee on its side.

Which payment processor does Agent Studio use?

Stripe. You connect your own Stripe account once in Payment settings, and every invoice, estimate, payment link and subscription charges through it.

Can customers pay from their phone?

Yes. Every invoice, estimate and payment link has a pay page built for phones, and the Text it option sends the link by SMS so a customer pays in under a minute.

Can I log cash or check payments too?

Yes. Open the invoice and use Record a payment for bank transfers, checks, cash or other payments. The amount due updates and a partial payment shows as Partly paid.

What currency do invoices use?

Invoices, estimates, payment links and products are priced in US dollars, and the totals, tax and discounts are calculated to the cent.
