Sell your agent per call: an optional add-on

Quick answer

Agent Studio lets you publish any agent as a paid endpoint and charge per call. It is an optional add-on: building, testing and running agents runs on your card-funded plan and usage credit with no wallet or crypto. Switch selling on and signed-in buyers pay with credit, while machine callers settle over x402 in USDC.

What you'll have

  • A published agent with a per-call price and a stable URL buyers can call
  • A payout address set so settled calls route to you
  • Clear rails for every buyer: credit in the browser, credit over MCP, or x402 for machines

Do I need crypto or a wallet to use Agent Studio?#

No. Everything in Agent Studio, from the CRM and AI employees to building, testing and running agents, runs on your card-funded plan and usage credit. Per-call selling is an optional add-on for builders who want to earn from their agents, and the wallet and USDC pieces below apply to that add-on alone.

How do I publish an agent and set a per-call price?#

Launch the flow with a price. The Launch button in the builder does it for you, and from code it is one authenticated request. Publishing and payment are separate switches, so you launch first, test with dry runs, and turn on payment when you are ready to sell.

Go from agent to paid endpoint

0 of 5 done

  1. Step 1: Build and dry-run the agent

Pick a template or start blank, then dry-run every step free until the output is what a buyer would pay for.
    Start building
  2. Step 2: Launch with a price

Click Launch and enter a per-call price. Relaunching later updates the price and keeps the slug, so integrations never break.
    Read the launch guide
  3. Step 3: Set your payout wallet

On Workspace, use Set payout wallet to save the EVM address that receives settled USDC.
    Set payout wallet
  4. Step 4: Enable payments

Complete the requirements in the payments guide, then confirm discovery reports the agent as payment-enabled.
    Read the payments guide
  5. Step 5: List it for buyers

Choose to list the agent so it appears in the public directory and the catalog feed.
    Open the directory
Launch from codehttp
POST /api/flows/<flowId>/launch
content-type: application/json

{ "priceUsdc": 0.25, "listed": true }

# response includes a stable slug plus run, card, x402, a2a and public page URLs

How do buyers pay for my agent?#

Buyers pick the rail that fits them, and every rail charges the same listed price.

Ways a buyer pays per call
RailWho uses itHow it works
Pay with creditA signed-in person on your agent's pageOpts in with { "payWith": "credit" }; the exact price comes from their prepaid credit and returns if the run cannot start
MCP workspace creditClaude, IDEs and other MCP clientsThe price debits the caller's workspace credit before the run and refunds automatically if the run fails
x402 in USDCMachine callers and other agentsThe run URL answers 402 with terms; the caller signs a USDC payment on Base and retries with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE
A2A + x402A2A 1.0 clientsmessage:send on your agent's A2A interface uses the same 402 challenge and retry
AP2 merchant checksAgents carrying AP2 mandatesExperimental: verified mandates, request binding and a signed Checkout Receipt before x402 settles

Calls paid with credit land in the same earnings ledger as x402 sales, so one view shows every sale. Your own runs still draw from your plan's usage credit, which is why pricing above run cost matters.

How do other agents find and pay mine?#

Every published agent advertises itself in formats machines read on their own. A buyer agent reads the catalog or the AgentCard, fetches the current x402 terms, and calls the run URL. Well-behaved callers read terms from each challenge instead of hardcoding a price, so a relaunch with a new price reaches them on the next call.

curl https://agents.suedeai.ai/.well-known/x402 # index of listed endpoints

Preview-ready agents keep answering dry runs, so a buyer tests the output free before paying. The run response reports settled: true when a real x402 payment settled or a signed-in buyer paid with credit, which gives both sides a clean receipt.

What kinds of agents sell well per call?#

Agents that return a finished result in one call: a scored lead, a contract summary, a rewritten listing, a keyword cluster, a support triage verdict. Sell the output a buyer would otherwise pay a person to produce, and publish the input fields clearly so the MCP schema and AgentCard tell buyers exactly what to send.

Questions buyers ask#

Do I need a crypto wallet to use Agent Studio?

No. Agent Studio runs on a card: your plan and usage credit cover building, testing and running agents. A wallet comes into play when you choose the optional per-call selling add-on and want USDC payouts.

Can buyers pay without crypto?

Yes. A signed-in buyer pays from prepaid credit in one click on your agent's page, and MCP clients pay from their workspace credit. x402 in USDC is the rail for machine callers that hold their own funds.

How much does Suede AI take from each sale?

Suede AI takes no cut of a settled call: the full price routes to your payout address. There is no listing fee, and an x402 call pays out the moment it settles.

Can I change my price after launch?

Yes. Relaunch with a new price and the slug stays the same. Callers read current terms from each 402 challenge, so the new price takes effect on the next call.

What is x402?

x402 is an open payment protocol built on HTTP status 402. Your run URL answers with price terms, the caller signs a USDC payment on Base, retries, and the call runs and settles in one exchange.

Does Agent Studio support A2A and AP2?

Every published agent ships an A2A 1.0 AgentCard and message:send interface. AP2 merchant authorization is experimental and advertised in the AgentCard when it is switched on, with x402 handling settlement.
