Set up an SEO project for every site you grow

Quick answer

An SEO project in Agent Studio is one workspace per website. It holds the site's keyword research, rank trackers, site audits, AI visibility, Google data and reports, plus a project memory that every SEO agent reads before it works. Create one at /seo with a name, a domain and a search market.

What you'll have

  • One SEO project per site, with research, rankings and audits saved in one place
  • A project memory that makes every keyword list, brief and report fit the business
  • A full site audit with a score you can compare run after run

What is an SEO project in Agent Studio?#

An SEO project is the home base for one website. Every SEO tool and every SEO agent reads from it and writes into it, so each run builds on the last instead of starting cold. Keyword picks you save today become the rank tracker you check next week and the client report you send next month.

How do I create an SEO project?#

Open SEO projects and fill in the New project form. It takes four fields and about a minute.

Create your first SEO project

  1. Step 1: Open SEO projects

Sign in and open the SEO workspace. Your projects are listed with their domain and market.
    Open SEO projects
  2. Step 2: Name the project

Use the site or client name, for example Acme marketing site.
  3. Step 3: Set the site domain

Rank tracking, audits and AI visibility measure this domain, for example acme.com.
  4. Step 4: Pick the search market

The country and language your customers search in. Keyword volumes and rankings come from this market.
  5. Step 5: Set a project key (optional)

Flows reach the project with this key in their SEO project field. Leave it blank and Agent Studio makes one from the name.
  6. Step 6: Fill in project memory

Open Project memory and describe the business. Every SEO agent reads it before it writes a word.

What can I do inside an SEO project?#

How does project memory make my SEO agents smarter?#

Project memory is the brief every SEO flow reads first, so keyword lists, content briefs and reports fit the business instead of reading generic. Edit it in place on the Project memory screen.

  • Business overview: what the business sells, to whom and what sets it apart.
  • Current goal: the outcome SEO serves this quarter, with a number where you have one.
  • Positioning: how you want to be described and who you are measured against.
  • Writing preferences: voice, words to use and avoid, formatting rules.
  • Competitors: domains your flows compare against in gap analysis, AI visibility and reports.
  • Key pages: each tagged Hub, Spoke, Money page or Other, so agents know which pages earn revenue.
  • Research log: flows add an entry each time they research for the project. You can add your own decisions too.

How do I run a full site audit in a project?#

Open Site audit, enter the start URL and run it. The crawler follows internal links and the sitemap across up to 200 pages (50 by default), checks every page for 30 technical issue types and scores the site with the Suede AI score, a 0 to 100 health number.

Finds broken pages and links, redirect chains and loops, duplicate titles and descriptions, duplicate and thin content, canonical conflicts, orphan pages, slow responses, missing alt text, heading order skips and pages search engines cannot index.

The form shows the price before anything runs. The crawl and rendering are priced per page and Lighthouse per test, all from your credit balance, and pages the crawl never reaches are refunded.

How do agents and agencies use SEO projects?#

Every SEO template in the Studio takes a project key, so a weekly rank report, a keyword brief or a client report writes straight into the right project. AI tools connected over MCP reach the same projects. Agencies see each client's SEO work from that client's page in Clients. Archive a finished project and it stays readable while flows stop writing to it.

Questions buyers ask#

How many SEO projects can I create?

Create one project per site you work on. Agencies usually run one per client and open each client's SEO work from Clients.

Does my site need to be built in Agent Studio?

No. SEO projects measure any public site, wherever it is hosted. Agent Studio reads it the way Google does and from live search data.

What is the Suede AI score?

A 0 to 100 site health number from the site audit. It weighs every issue by severity and spreads it over the pages crawled, so a clean site scores 100 and the score falls as pages carry more problems.

What is the difference between the free audit and the project site audit?

The free SEO audit reads one page and up to four it links to, with AI answer checks and fix workflows. The project site audit crawls up to 200 pages, adds JavaScript rendering and Lighthouse, and keeps a history.

What happens when I archive an SEO project?

It stays readable with all its data, and flows stop writing to it. Restore it any time from the archived list at the bottom of SEO projects.
