Never miss a follow-up with CRM tasks

Quick answer

Agent Studio tasks put every follow-up on a due date, tied to the contact it belongs to. Add tasks from the Tasks page, a contact or the dashboard, see what is overdue first, tick them done, and let workflows create tasks and act the moment one falls due.

What you'll have

  • One list of every follow-up, soonest due first
  • Overdue work flagged before a customer notices
  • Workflows that create tasks and act when they fall due

Where do I see and add tasks?#

On Tasks, with open and done work on separate tabs. The same tasks show on each contact's page, on the CRM dashboard and as Next task beside every conversation, so the next step is in front of you wherever you are working.

How do I add a task?#

Your first follow-up

0 of 4 done

  1. Step 1: Open the add dialog

Choose Add task on the Tasks page.
    Add a task
  2. Step 2: Write the action

Name it as a verb the next person can act on: "Call Dana about the roof quote" beats "Dana".
  3. Step 3: Set the due date and contact

Pick a Due date and time and link the contact so the task shows on their record.
  4. Step 4: Work the list

Tick tasks done as you go. They move to the Done tab, and a deleted task comes back with Undo.
    Open Tasks

Can workflows create and chase tasks for me?#

Yes. The Create Task workflow step adds a task with a title, notes, due date and an assignee whenever its trigger fires. Three task events are CRM Trigger options too: Task added, Task completed and Task due.

When should I use a task instead of a note?#

Use a task when something must happen by a date; use a note to record what already happened. Notes sit on the contact's timeline and can be pinned to the top. Tasks carry a due date, show as overdue when late and fire Task due for your workflows.

Tie tasks to the deals in your pipelines and let CRM automations create them for you.

Questions buyers ask#

Does Agent Studio remind me when a task is due?

Yes. When a task falls due it fires the Task due trigger. Build a workflow on it to text or email the person responsible, and overdue tasks are marked on the Tasks page.

Can I assign tasks to teammates?

Yes. The Create Task workflow step sets an assignee, so tasks created by your automations land with the right person.

Can I link a task to a contact?

Yes. Pick a contact when you add the task, or add it from the contact's page, and it shows in that contact's Tasks panel and beside their conversation.

What happens if I delete a task by mistake?

Choose Undo in the notice that appears and the task comes straight back.

Is this like GoHighLevel tasks?

Yes. Tasks tie to contacts, carry due dates and work with workflows the same way, and Agent Studio adds Next task beside every inbox conversation.
