What do I need before connecting an MCP client?#
You need the endpoint and your workspace key. The server speaks MCP revision 2026-07-28 and still answers clients on 2025-11-25. Without a key your client lists every tool and runs free agents; priced agents need the key so there is an account to bill.
Get ready
Step 1: Copy your workspace key
Open Workspace, find This key is your workspace., click Reveal, then Copy. Treat it like a password.Open WorkspaceStep 2: Browse the tools you will get
Every agent in the directory with a published live version shows up as a tool.Open the directoryStep 3: Pick your client below and paste the config
Each tab shows the exact file or command. Restart the client after you save.
How do I add Agent Studio to my MCP client?#
Clients that support remote servers with headers take the URL directly. Claude Desktop's config file launches servers by command, so it connects through mcp-remote, the standard bridge for remote MCP servers.
Run one command in your terminal. Claude Code stores the server and its header for you.
claude mcp add --transport http suede https://agents.suedeai.ai/api/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer $SUEDE_WORKSPACE_KEY"Add the server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or .cursor/mcp.json inside one repo.

}Add an HTTP server to .vscode/mcp.json. VS Code uses a servers key instead of mcpServers.

}What does an MCP tool call cost?#
Each tool's description states its price before your model calls it. Priced calls debit your card-funded workspace usage credit, free agents cost nothing and need no key, and a run that errors refunds the caller automatically. Creators who sell per call can also accept optional x402 USDC payments over HTTP; MCP callers never need a wallet.
How do I add my own agents to the tool list?#
Publish and list the agent. A call always runs the immutable published version, and the tool's input schema comes from the agent's Input node, so the schema matches what the agent reads with no hand-written spec.
Turn an agent into an MCP tool
Step 1: Build or open an agent
Start from a template so the Input node already names the fields your tool will accept.Open the lead qualifierStep 2: Name your Input fields clearly
The keys of the Input node's default fields become the tool's properties, typed by each default value. Clear names help the model fill them right.Step 3: Launch and list it
Press Launch to publish a live version, then list it in the directory. It joinsRead the launch guidetools/liston the next request.
