Connect your apps so agents act on them

Quick answer

Agent Studio connects your apps on the Connections page: Google Search Console and Analytics, phone and voice, Slack, a CRM webhook, GitHub, and any API that signs in with a bearer token, an API key header or custom headers. Keys are encrypted the moment they arrive, never shown again, and only published Live runs use them.

What you'll have

  • Your most-used apps connected once and ready for every agent
  • Google Search Console and Analytics feeding real data into each SEO project
  • Any REST API callable from an agent step with the HTTP Request node

Which apps can I connect to Agent Studio?#

Connect the apps your agents act on from one page. Open Connections and the Apps & API connections tiles show what each one does for you and a single button to connect it.

Apps & API connections
AppWhat your agents do with itHow it connects
Google Search Console and AnalyticsRead real clicks, rankings, indexing and organic conversions in every SEO runGoogle sign-in, read-only, on its own page
Phone and voiceAnswer every call with the AI receptionist, plus forwarding and voicemailSet up with you on one call from the Phone inbox
SlackPost alerts, summaries and approvals to any channel from any stepPaste a Slack webhook URL
CRM webhookSend every new lead and update to your CRMPaste a webhook URL, plus an optional authorization header
GitHubRead repositories and open issues from any stepPaste a personal access token
Any APICall any service your business runs onBearer token, API key header, username and password, or custom headers

How do I connect Slack, my CRM or GitHub?#

Each of these connects in one short dialog. Agencies love the Add another button: connect one Slack per client so each client's alerts land in that client's own channel.

Connect an app in under a minute

0 of 4 done

  1. Step 1: Open Connections

Find the app's tile under Apps & API connections and press its button, such as Connect Slack.
    Open Connections
  2. Step 2: Paste the value

Slack and your CRM take a webhook URL. GitHub takes a personal access token. The field masks the value as you paste it.
  3. Step 3: Save and confirm

The tile turns Connected. From now on, every published Live run that uses the app posts, sends or reads with it.
  4. Step 4: Add it to an agent

Drop a Slack Message, CRM Webhook, GitHub Read or GitHub Issue node on the canvas and pick the connection.

How do I connect Google Search Console and Analytics?#

Connect Google once and pick a property for each SEO project; every SEO run then reads your real Search Console and Analytics numbers. Open Google Search Console and Analytics, press Connect Search Console and then Connect Google Analytics. Agent Studio asks for two read scopes, one at a time, and encrypts each grant at rest. Under Pick a property for an SEO project, match each project to its property, and Projects and their properties shows every pairing at a glance.

How do I connect an app that isn't on the list?#

Any service with an API connects through Connect any API. Press New connection at the top of the page, give it a name, and choose how it signs in.

Sign-in methods for Connect any API
Sign-in methodPick it when the service gives you
Bearer tokenA token you send as an Authorization header
API key headerA key that goes in a named header, such as X-API-Key
Username and passwordA login pair the API accepts on each request
Custom headersSeveral header values, up to 16, with names you choose

Every connection holds two values: one for Test and one for Live. Add the Test value to build against a sandbox, then add the Live value when the agent ships.

How do agents call an API with the HTTP Request node?#

The HTTP Request node calls any REST endpoint from inside an agent, using a connection for its credentials. Set the method (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH or DELETE), the URL, headers and body, and map values from earlier steps into them. The step waits 10 seconds by default and up to 30, reads responses up to 2 MB, and follows up to five redirects. It refuses private network addresses, so a crafted URL cannot reach inside your infrastructure. The full option list lives in the node reference.

How does Agent Studio keep my keys safe?#

  • A key is encrypted the moment it arrives, bound to your workspace, that connection and one environment. Neither the page nor the API ever shows it again.
  • An agent step stores a pointer to the connection, never the key. Versioning, exporting or handing off an agent moves the pointer; the key stays put.
  • Only published Live runs read a credential. Previews and Test runs never touch it.
  • Changing or revoking a Live value shows every agent that uses it and asks you to type LIVE before it applies.

Questions buyers ask#

Does Agent Studio work with apps that have no built-in tile?

Yes. Connect any service with a bearer token, API key header, username and password, or custom headers, then call it from the HTTP Request node in any agent.

Can I connect a separate Slack for each client?

Yes. After the first Slack connection, press Add another on the Slack tile. Name each one for its client and pick the right one in each agent's Slack Message step.

Is the Google connection read-only?

Yes. Agent Studio asks for two read scopes, one for Search Console and one for Analytics, encrypts the grants at rest, and only your own agents read the data.

Will my test runs post to Slack or my CRM?

No. Only published Live runs use a credential, so you build and test an agent without a single test message reaching a customer channel or your CRM.

What is the GoHighLevel Custom Webhook equivalent?

The HTTP Request node. It sends GET, POST, PUT, PATCH or DELETE requests with your headers and body, signs in through a saved connection, and hands the response to the next step.
